Scope and the company behind Wayroc

This Privacy Policy applies to Wayroc websites, the Wayroc career platform, career coaching and work-simulation features, and related services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are provided by WAYROC Career Inc. (also referred to as “Wayroc,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Wayroc is incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act. Our registered office is 205 Placer Ct, Queens Plate Rd, North York, Ontario M2H 0A9, Canada. This policy should be read with our Terms of Service and any service agreement or subscription terms that apply to you.

Information we collect

We collect information that you provide, information created when you use the Services, and limited information from connected sources that you choose to use.

Account and profile
Name, email address, authentication details, professional background, career direction, location or work preferences, and other profile information you choose to provide.
Résumés and applications
Résumé files stored in private storage, extracted résumé text, résumé versions, application materials, application status, and the job or role context you choose to associate with those materials.
Job activity
Searches, saved searches, job preferences, viewed or saved listings, application-related activity, feedback, match explanations, and match scores generated from the information available to the Services.
Coaching and practice
Interview answers, coaching questions, work-simulation submissions, feedback, progress signals, persistent text transcripts, and other content you create during coaching or practice.
Connected sources
If a feature is enabled and you ask us to use it, information from a connected source such as a public GitHub profile or public repository may be used to create career-development signals. We do not request private repository content unless the feature clearly asks for your authorization.
Voice input
Some practice features can use your browser’s Web Speech recognition. Wayroc does not intentionally record or store raw microphone audio through that feature. The browser or speech-recognition provider may process audio under its own terms, and the resulting recognized text may be sent to Wayroc and persisted as part of a transcript or practice session.
Support and communications
Messages you send to support, account-recovery information, service feedback, and records of our communications with you.
Technical information
Device and browser details, approximate timestamps, IP address or other network information, request and error logs, authentication events, feature usage, and security signals needed to operate and protect the Services.
Cookies and local storage
Essential authentication cookies and local-storage preferences needed for sign-in, session continuity, accessibility, and product settings. We do not use these disclosures to promise that every browser or third-party tool behaves identically.

How we use information

We use information only for purposes connected to the Services and the relationship you have with Wayroc, including to:

  • create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide requested career-platform features;
  • store, extract, organize, and compare résumé and application materials you choose to use;
  • search and organize job information, explain job matches, and personalize career-development guidance;
  • run interview practice, work simulations, coaching conversations, progress tracking, and related evaluations;
  • process subscription or service-plan administration, provide support, and communicate about the Services;
  • monitor reliability, investigate abuse or security incidents, debug failures, and improve the safety and quality of the Services; and
  • meet legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect Wayroc, our users, and other people.

The Services may use generative AI and automated analysis to produce suggestions, summaries, match explanations, scores, or practice feedback. These outputs are generated from the information available to the relevant feature and may be incomplete or wrong; they are not a substitute for your own judgment or professional advice.

ChatGPT and other integrations

If you use Wayroc through ChatGPT or another integration, Wayroc receives only the tool inputs, files, profile fields, or other content that you or the connected model sends to a Wayroc feature. Wayroc does not receive unrelated portions of your ChatGPT conversation or your ChatGPT account password through the integration.

Government-issued identification, payment-card or other PCI data, health information (including protected health information, or PHI), account credentials, API keys, and other secrets must never be submitted through the ChatGPT or plugin integration. If payment details are needed, enter them directly with an authorized payment processor outside the plugin.

OpenAI or another integration provider separately processes prompts, responses, account information, and usage data under its own terms and privacy policy. Wayroc is responsible for the information that reaches Wayroc and for the processing described in this policy; we do not control the other provider’s practices.

You can stop an integration by disconnecting it through the provider’s controls or by contacting us. Disconnecting an integration does not automatically erase information already stored in your Wayroc account; deletion is handled under Retention and deletion below.

Sharing and recipients

We share information only when it is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, at your direction, or as permitted or required by law. Recipients may include:

  • Infrastructure providers: Vercel hosting and Vercel Blob storage, Neon database services, and providers that support authentication, email, observability, security, and reliable delivery of the Services.
  • AI and model providers: Vercel AI Gateway may route relevant prompts, résumé text, coaching content, or other inputs to model providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and DeepSeek, depending on the feature, configuration, and availability at the time. We send only the context needed for the requested operation.
  • Connected services: A source you intentionally connect, such as GitHub, receives or provides information according to the authorization and feature you select.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: advisers, insurers, auditors, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a corporate transaction.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We also do not disclose résumé content or private career-profile information to employers simply because it was processed by the Services. A separate feature or action will identify what you choose to share.

Storage and cross-border processing

Wayroc is based in Canada, while our service providers and their systems may be located in Canada, the United States, or other countries. As a result, information may be accessed, processed, or stored outside the province or country where you live. Those locations may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.

We select providers and contractual arrangements intended to protect information appropriately for the Services. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards, notices, consent, or transfer mechanisms, we will use them. Vercel, Neon, Vercel AI Gateway, and model providers may each process information under their own service terms and privacy documentation.

Retention and deletion

We retain information according to the specific periods below. Each period begins at the event stated in its entry.

Account content
We retain account content while your account is active.
Verified account deletion requests
We complete deletion of account content within 30 days of a verified account-deletion request.
Secure backups
We delete backup copies within 90 days after primary deletion.
Operational and security logs
We delete operational and security logs 90 days from creation, except when preservation is required by law or for an active security incident.
Support communications
We delete support communications 24 months after the last communication or ticket closure, whichever occurs later.
Unauthenticated ChatGPT sessions
We delete temporary data associated with an unauthenticated ChatGPT interaction within 30 days of the interaction, subject only to legal, security, and backup exceptions.

You can delete eligible résumé versions through available account controls. To request deletion of your active account or other account content, send a verified account-deletion request to hr@wayroc.com. We may retain a limited record of the request, security events, or information that we are legally required to keep.

Security and data minimization

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. These can include access controls, authentication protections, encrypted transport, private file storage, monitoring, and secure deletion practices. Access to résumé and profile information is limited to the people and systems that need it for the Services.

No online service, storage system, or transmission is completely secure. Please use a unique password and keep your account details private. If you believe there has been a security incident, contact us promptly at hr@wayroc.com.

Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent, ask questions about our handling of information, or raise a concern with a privacy regulator.

To make a request, email hr@wayroc.com with the subject “Privacy request.” Tell us what you need and the account email associated with the request. We may need to verify your identity, clarify the scope, or explain why a limited record must be retained. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

  • You can review or update available account and career-profile fields in the product.
  • You can delete eligible résumé versions and request deletion of other account content, subject to the retention exceptions in this policy.
  • You can disconnect optional integrations and stop using browser speech recognition.
  • You can unsubscribe from non-essential communications where an unsubscribe control is provided.

Age requirement

The Services are intended for people who are 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a person under 16 has provided information to Wayroc, contact hr@wayroc.com so we can investigate and take appropriate steps.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our Services, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date means the updated policy applies to future use.
